There are two policies providing cover for Imperial College and its subsidiaries in respect of legal liability to pay damages; Employers’ Liability and Public Liability. Both policies need the claimant to prove negligence against Imperial College or subsidiary. For more information see either Liability Insurance (Insurance web pages) or Liability Insurance. Work experience students are covered under Imperial's Employer's Liability insurance.
Private holiday travel overseas may be covered if it is in the same country as business travel for Imperial. See either the Overseas Travel [web page] or the Overseas Travel page [Finance Knowledge Bank; requires College login] for further information about the duration of business and private travel covered.

All appropriately licensed drivers are insured to drive College vehicles. Driving by individuals who are not College staff or students is strongly discouraged. The relevant vehicle-operating Department is responsible for ensuring appropriate driver licensing and roadworthiness of vehicles.
